Call Recording
By default, recording of phone calls isn't possible on iOS devices. 360 Writer Call Recording service is a unique combination of technologies that allow overcoming this iOS barrier.
Interesting & important notes before starting:
-
360 Writer Call Recording service operates on a standard telephone network. It is available nonstop and worldwide.
-
The basic principle is to create a 3-way call between the caller, callee, and 360 Writer Bot.
-
The connection to 360 Writer Bot is established by calling the dedicated telephone number.
-
The dedicated telephone number is pre-set by the app based on your phone´s location settings. It can be changed manually according to your preference.
-
The dedicated number acts as a standard local number. Yet, it is NOT a toll-free number. Calling this number is charged by your telecommunication services provider.
-
You can call any of provided dedicated local numbers, but we recommend acquainting yourself with your telecommunication services provider’s roaming and calls-abroad policy as calling numbers out of your country can be costly.
-
When calling 360 Writer Bot, your phone number must be visible (not hidden/private). Otherwise, it is not possible to pair the recording with the relevant device and download the recording to the app.
-
Some telecommunication service providers automatically end phone calls reaching 60 minutes as a form of security measure.
-
Some telecommunication service providers require you to have Conf Call service activated in order to be able to use 360 Writer Call Recording service.
-
Standard telephone network Conf Call is usually able to hold 5 phone numbers (4 persons + 360 Writer Bot), but it depends on your telecommunication service provider policy.
-
360 Writer Bot must by law announce that the call is being recorded as soon as it answers the call. This applies to incoming/outgoing or ongoing calls - the announcement is always heard ONLY by the one who is calling the Bot - others on the line don't hear it.
-
Recording somebody without their clearly voiced consent is considered illegal in some countries. It is also a matter of courtesy. Always ask the other side for permission to record the conversation. Should the other side reject giving such permission, end the call. 360 Writer is not responsible for any damages caused in this regard.
Supported countries as of now: USA
