The first step in getting you closer to ownership of a second phone number by Numbr is selecting a suitable phone number. Each phone number is unique.
The Numbr app will automatically generate a phone number for you, which you can purchase in a few taps. If the phone number does not meet your preferences, you can change the number and select a different one.
You can choose from the following phone numbers:
- United Kingdom phone numbers
- United States phone numbers
- Canadian phone numbers
The selection of US and CAN phone numbers also comes with multiple different area codes options. Thanks to this feature, you can get the phone number of any preferred specific area.
It is essential to mention that it doesn't matter where in the world you live. You can purchase a phone number from any country and use it internationally.
How to purchase a phone number
- Tap on the top Get a Number.
- If you are happy with the displayed phone number, select a subscription and confirm the purchase.
- If you want to choose a different phone number, tap on the Change Number.
- Select the country and area code that suits your needs.
- Tap on the chosen phone number and tap on the bottom Next.
- Choose the desired subscription period for your new phone number and confirm the purchase.
- You are all set! Now, you can start calling and messaging.
Please note! If you don’t keep on the automatic renewal of the phone number subscription and the subscription ends, our customer support team can try to allocate you with the same phone number only during the next ten days at your request.
How to purchase credits
To make/receive calls and send/receive messages, you need to have enough credits in your account along with an active phone number subscription.
Each new user automatically gets 20 free credits, which can be used to make and receive calls or send and receive SMS/MMS messages. It is only up to your decision how you will spend the credits. Once you run out of credits, you need to purchase some more if you would like to keep on calling and messaging.
- Tap on the bottom Person icons on the main navigation bar.
- You can see how many credits are left in your account on the top. To buy more, tap on the right Buy Credits button.
- Choose the desired credit package and confirm the purchase.
- You are all set! The credits are added to your account.
Please note! All the available credit packages are one-time purchases meaning they do not expire and do not automatically renew.

In-app contact list
Having a private in-app contact list is an optional feature. By allowing permission to your device’s contacts, you can access all your contacts directly via the Numbr app without dialing the phone number you are about to call or message. It makes the calling and texting process easier and faster.
You also have an option to add a new phone number to your contact list. You can do so by tapping on the bottom right Keypad icon. Dial the phone number and tap on the Add Number underneath to create a new contact. The contact will be saved to the in-app contact list and your device’s contacts as well.

Calling and messaging feature
If you have an active phone number subscription and enough needed credits in your account, you can start making and receiving calls or sending and receiving SMS/MMS messages.
No matter what country’s phone number you have and where in the world you are, you can make calls and send messages internationally in total privacy.
How to make calls
- Tap on the bottom Contact icon on the main navigation bar.
- Select a person you want to call directly from the contact list if you are allowed permission to the contacts. If the phone number you want to reach is not in your contacts list, tap on the bottom right Keypad and dial the phone number.
- Tap on the bottom left Call button and start calling.
- When the call is over, you will find the information about it by tapping on the bottom left Recent icon on the main navigation bar.
How to send a message
- Tap on the Message icon on the main navigation bar.
- Tap on the bottom right Write message icon.
- Choose a phone number directly from the Contacts and tap on the Message.
- Alternatively, you can choose to use the Keypad instead. Dial the phone number and tap on the bottom right Text button.
- Write your message, attach an image if you want and tap on the right Send button.
- The message thread with the contacted phone number is automatically created. All new incoming or outcoming messages will be saved there.
You can follow the same way described in How to make calls also for messaging. In the third step, tap on the bottom right Text button instead.
Please note! MMS messaging is technically possible only from the US and CA phone numbers to US and CA phone numbers.

Tariff calculator
The Numbr app has nothing to hide! The number of needed credits per minute and per message differs from country to country. Thanks to the Tariffs section, you can determine how much each call or message will cost.
- Tap on the bottom Person icon on the main navigation bar.
- Tap on the Tariffs.
- Choose the country of the phone number you hold and choose a country you want to message or call.
- Underneath, you will find costs for outgoing and incoming calls and messages.

Change of phone number
We understand that you might want to change your phone number after some time. For even more flexibility, you can do so anytime needed and as many times as you wish to.
How to change a phone number
- Tap on the bottom Person icon on the main navigation bar.
- Tap on Change Number.
- If you are happy with the displayed phone number, tap on the Change Number button below and confirm the purchase.
- If you want to choose a different phone number, tap on Customize.
- Select the country and area code that suits your needs.
- Tap on the chosen phone number and tap on the bottom Next.
- Tap on the Change Number button below and confirm the purchase.
- A new phone number has been added to your account.
Please note! Once you change your phone number, you can get the old one back by messaging our customer support team only during the next ten days at your request.

Spam protection

To purchase Spam protection, tap on the bottom Person icon on the main navigation bar and tap on the Spam Protection. Then, tap on the Protect and confirm the payment.

Screen Lock
We understand you might want to keep your secret conversations safe. Numbr app lets you use this extra protecting feature to make sure only you have access to the app, messages, and the history of calls.
To set up the screen lock, tap on the bottom Person icon on the main navigation bar and turn on the Screen Lock. To remove it, repeat the same steps.
